Sigurtà in Cosplay:
a regular photography event!

As every year, last September saw one of the photographic events I most look forward to: Sigurtà in Cosplay.
What exactly is Cosplay?

For those who don't know, Cosplay is a combination of the words “costume” and “play”, meaning to play. It is the art of interpreting a fictional character from a book, film or Japanese anime.

I have been part of this world for years, first as a cosplayer myself and now as a passionate photographer. It is a passion that never leaves me: for more than 10 years, I have found it very fascinating because it allows people to step out of their comfort zone and put themselves out there by playing a role that is not their usual one. And then, photographically speaking, you can really play with your imagination.

The Sigurtà Garden Park in Valeggio sul Mincio opens its doors for two whole days of Cosplay, and for me it's an opportunity to photograph talented characters in wonderful costumes!

This year, I had the opportunity to take photos with five people on Sunday: Shyana Chiyo from Sparkle in the video game Honkai: Star Rail, Stella Atlas and Bias Dreams from Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Michaifer from Seraphim by Sakizou and Found and Lost from Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom.

Everyone worked very hard to make their photo shoots a success, despite fatigue, heat and a few technical problems! But I am very happy with the results, which I am showing you here.
